C & I Insurance Brokers Limited was incorporated in 1995 under the name Commercial & Industrial Int’l Insurance Brokers Unlimited to transact insurance business. In the year 2000 however, the status of the company was changed to Limited Liability with a share capital of N5,000,000 in order to comply with the provisions of the Insurance Decree of 1997 but was later increased to N 10,000,000 in the year 2019

However, with the enactment of Insurance Act of 2003, this aspect has been liberalized and therefore a Brokerage firm is allowed to operate either as a limited liability company or partnership. But we have decided to remain as a limited liability company in order to enhance the inflow of more competent hands that will rapidly take the company to leadership position in the Insurance market globally.

Since its registration, the company has been actively engaged in the business of offering technical insurance services to numerous clients within and outside Nigeria.
